About the Role
As a Senior Financial Accountant/Finance Manager, you will play a critical role in driving business growth, improving financial performance, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
You will take ownership of financial planning, month-end reporting, tax compliance, capex business cases. Build robust processes, identify areas for process improvement, and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Innovation, Business Intelligence, and Sales across markets. Work closely with and mentor a junior accountant, while also supporting the CFO across a broad range of initiatives. This is an ambitious, growth-focused business where change is a constant.
This role is based onsite with car parking, in purpose-built, modern offices in Otahuhu.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Leadership and Reporting: Provide technical leadership and mentoring to the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Preparing and presenting financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to the leadership team.
- Financial Strategy and Growth: Developing and implementing financial strategies to drive business growth and improve profitability, identifying and mitigating financial risks. Support the business to present capex business cases and understand ROI.
- Financial Compliance and Governance: Ensuring compliance with financial regulations, laws, and standards. Providing financial guidance and support to the leadership team and other stakeholders.
- Process Improvement and Efficiency: Leading and participating in initiatives to improve financial processes and drive efficiency. Identifying opportunities for process improvements across financial operations to streamline workflows.
- Strategic Project Support: Support various projects across the business, ranging from new product development, pricing strategy, market and channel expansion, and grant funding. Should there be capital events you will support financial due diligence.

As you grow with the business, this position will provide a clear career pathway, enabling you to expand your skills and expertise.
Ideally, you will be CA qualified and have experience within manufacturing or in a high growth an SME-sized business, where you have been involved in all aspects of accounting and finance. You will need to have a strong, natural leadership style, as it will be essential that you can influence your team and managers to drive improvements.
