CranePower is a next generation Construction Tech company based in Auckland, New Zealand. We design and manufacture the world's most power-dense mobile batteries. Our E-Gen Series delivers consistent, clean, compact power to construction sites, with a footprint 10% of the size of container-based BESS solutions.
Four years old and scaling rapidly, with hundreds of units deployed throughout Australia and New Zealand and 300,000+ hours of verified operation. The company is now setting its sights on the European and USA markets.
The Role
The COO role is key in partnership with the CEO to achieve exponential growth in multiple international markets over the next three years.
The COO takes ownership of everything operational: supply chain, production systems, commercial contracts, people leadership, compliance and entity setup. You will build the processes and structures that drive compounding growth. The CEO/Founder stays focused on product and the decisions only they can make. Everything else runs through you.
This is a build role as much as it is a management role. The person who joins now gets real input into how CranePower grows: what the structure looks like, how the team develops, and how the business sets itself up for a significant future.
Who we are looking for
Someone who can take complexity and turn it into something simple and repeatable. An engineer of operations. You build trust by delivering, you are comfortable without a playbook, and you get excited by the kind of problems most people find overwhelming.
Technical background or mindset is an advantage. Experience in manufacturing, engineering, aerospace or a similarly complex industry is preferred. Startup or scale-up experience is a must.
