Brand & Marketing Coordinator / Executive Assistant (Part-Time)

A role with real purpose, ambitious growth, and world-first medtech that's changing lives. Exciting time to join the journey!

  • Part Time - Based on site in their Parnell offices
  • Join a talented team and supportive leaders building world-first medtech!
  • Support the CEO and leadership team across brand, communications, and EA
The Company
Kitea Health is an Auckland-based medtech startup that is redefining brain health.  With a US clinical trial ahead and the team continuing to grow, Kitea Health is entering a pivotal stage of scaling. As the business builds its profile locally and globally, they need consistent, professional communication and a brand presence that matches the ambition and impact of its technology.

The incredible team at Kitea Health has developed a fully implanted, battery-free brain pressure sensor designed to revolutionise the management of hydrocephalus, a condition affecting approximately 1 in 1,000 births in New Zealand and around 1 million people in the US.

Their technology is a game-changer; they’ve developed the world’s first device capable of measuring brain pressure remotely from home, shifting care from reactive treatment to proactive monitoring. Instead of waiting for a crisis, doctors can detect issues earlier, intervene sooner, and make more informed decisions before a patient’s condition escalates.

The Role
Based in Kitea Health's Parnell office, this part-time Brand & Marketing Coordinator / Executive Assistant role supports the CEO and leadership team across brand, communications, and executive operations. It suits someone who enjoys bringing structure to busy environments while helping shape how the company shows up externally - through LinkedIn content, company communications, newsletters, and brand storytelling.

You'll play a key role in building a consistent, professional brand presence as Kitea Health continues to scale, while also supporting the day-to-day coordination that keeps the leadership team operating effectively.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Brand & Content Management – Manage and grow Kitea Health's LinkedIn presence, translating complex clinical and technical information into clear, professional, on-brand content
  • Strategic Communications – Turn the CEO's ideas and the US strategy group's direction into polished external communications with consistent tone, quality, and messaging
  • Internal & External Communications – Lead the production of company newsletters and coordinate business updates, milestones, and announcements into timely communications
  • Brand Governance – Review outgoing communications to ensure alignment with brand standards, visual quality, and regulatory requirements
  • Digital Presence & Analytics – Manage digital content, including LinkedIn publishing, website updates via CMS, and performance tracking to improve engagement over time
  • Executive Support – Provide executive support to the CEO, including travel coordination, pitch deck updates, and day-to-day administrative assistance
About You
We're looking for someone proactive, adaptable, and highly self-directed - the kind of person who spots what needs doing, works out how to do it, and gets on with it. You'll be solutions-oriented, comfortable working through ambiguity, and confident making decisions when information is incomplete or priorities shift quickly.

You'll move easily between strategic and operational work, equally comfortable refining external communications as you are coordinating last-minute logistics or keeping the CEO organised behind the scenes.  Strong judgement is critical here, both from a brand and business perspective. You'll know when something doesn't sound right or align with the standard expected, and you'll be confident holding the line even under pressure.

In terms of your background, brand and communications expertise within a scientific, engineering or complex business is required - you have a way with words, as essentially, communication is at the heart of this role. You'll take half-formed ideas and turn them into polished, professional content, translating complex technical or clinical information into something clear and credible for external audiences.

Why Join Kitea Health
This is a role with real purpose, a great team, ambitious goals, and leaders who will set you up to succeed. With world-first medical device technology backed by real human trial data, this technology is life-changing. It's an exciting time to join the journey as the company moves into its next stage of growth.
