The Role
This is an Accounts Assistant position reporting to the Financial Controller - a well-rounded role with plenty of variety and real ownership across the function.
You’ll be involved across:
- Financial Management - supporting the Financial Controller across month-end and year-end processes, reconciliations, journals, payroll administration, cashflow management, and core accounting activities
- Accounts Payable & Receivable - full-function AP and AR, including coding, processing, payments, credit control, and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Compliance & Reporting - preparing PAYE, GST, and FBT returns, verifying financial data, and supporting ongoing accounting projects and reporting requirements
- Financial Administration - managing petty cash, credit card reconciliations, cash sales, asset register updates, price list maintenance, and responding to internal queries
- Stock Control - stocktakes, receipting stock, managing supplier queries, maintaining product and pricing data in MYOB Acumatica, and supporting ordering processes
- Office Support - assisting with walk-ins, calls, and general office coordination, contributing to the smooth running of the wider team
There’s also opportunity to contribute ideas around systems and process improvements. While not expected, if you enjoy finding smarter ways of working - whether through systems, processes, or even AI - this environment will support that.
