Chief of Staff — Neocrete
Concrete is the second most consumed substance on earth after water. It is also one of the largest contributors to global carbon emissions.

Neocrete is building the replacement. Carbon zero concrete, engineered from the ground up. If the technology lands at scale, the impact is genuinely hard to overstate. Small team, moving fast, and they need the right person alongside the founders to help get there.

The Role
This is not a typical Chief of Staff role. You will be the strategic right hand to Neocrete's founders, in the room for decisions that shape the business. Investor conversations. Customer strategy. Operational build. International expansion.

Neocrete is not looking for a finished product. They want someone with the raw material: commercial instinct, confidence in a room with senior people, and the ability to execute without hand-holding.

The role is designed to grow. Twelve months in, you should have more responsibility than when you started. You will also travel internationally as the business expands into new markets.

What You Will Do
Support the Founders
Own the CEO's information flow and synthesise inputs before they require founder attention. Run leadership rhythms: standups, OKR tracking, board prep. Keep the team accountable to cross-functional commitments. Manage sensitive matters with discretion. Represent the founders with partners and stakeholders where appropriate.

Customer and Commercial
Prepare presentations, pitch decks, and proposal content. Develop case studies and customer testimonials. Translate technical outcomes into commercial and sustainability value. Build pricing logic, cost models, and margin analysis. Ensure customer insight drives technology priorities.

Investor Readiness
Set up and maintain a structured data room. Keep commercial and market materials investment-ready. Support due diligence with clear documentation. Prepare board-level materials and presentations.

Operational Build
Design processes where none currently exist. Track initiatives and cross-functional execution. Build systems that scale rather than one-off fixes. Partner with Product Delivery on the customer pipeline.

Research and Modelling
Conduct market, customer, and industry research. Analyse global expansion pathways. Build financial and value models demonstrating cost and carbon impact. Synthesise data into investor-ready insights.

Who We Are Looking For
Five to eight years of experience in consulting, strategy, or a high-growth commercial environment. A Chief of Staff title is not required. We are hiring for capability, not credentials.

Backgrounds that tend to work well: Tier 1 or Tier 2 consulting with a startup exit, operator roles at Series A/B companies, commercial strategy inside a scale-up, or offshore experience being brought back to NZ or Australia.

You understand how businesses make and lose money and have worked in environments where that mattered. You can hold a position in a room with senior people. You finish things. You build repeatable systems rather than solving the same problem twice. You want to see your work matter and you take discretion seriously.
