Electrical Service Engineer | EV Charging Tech 

Kwetta, a homegrown innovator building world-leading EV charging systems that help accelerate global decarbonisation are looking for a registered Industrial Electrician or Service Engineer to join their growing service team in a hands-on role that combines fieldwork, problem-solving, and global reach.
You’ll support some of the most advanced EV charging tech in the world.

Why this role matters
Kwetta’s technology is redefining how we charge electric vehicles and balance power grids. As a Service Engineer, you’ll make sure their chargers are running at peak performance, respond to service calls, and help troubleshoot and commission systems both locally and internationally. You’ll work closely with the R&D and service teams, and be a trusted technical contact for installers, customers, and field service partners.

What you’ll be doing
  • Commissioning, servicing and troubleshooting EV charging systems onsite and remotely
  • Responding to service callouts, including after-hours (on a rotating roster)
  • Supporting 3rd-party service providers with training and technical expertise
  • Monitoring system performance and proactively solving issues
  • Working with R&D on data insights and product improvement
  • Completing clear service documentation, H&S compliance and CRM reporting
  • Traveling as needed to customer sites across NZ, Australia and Europe
You’ll need to bring
  • EWRB registration and an industrial or manufacturing background
  • Strong experience in power electronics, fault-finding, and high-level technical support
  • Confidence with commissioning and servicing electrical equipment
  • Good computer and communication skills — MS Office, CRM/ticketing systems
  • The ability to lift 27kg modules and work on-call as part of a rotating team
  • A full NZ driver’s licence
  • (Bonus) Experience in switchboard building, international work, or electrical assembly
