This New Zealand technology business develops integrated hardware and software solutions that help industrial organisations operate more efficiently, safely and intelligently.

Their technology is trusted across transport and logistics, civil construction, quarries, mining and other demanding industrial environments where reliability and performance matter.

With around 40 people, the business has built an excellent reputation for combining engineering expertise with practical technology solutions that solve real operational challenges.

This role leads one of the company's key business units. Significant investment has gone into developing a scalable platform that allows solutions to be tailored to customer requirements while creating opportunities for repeatable growth.

Strong recent customer wins and expanding international opportunities mean the business is well positioned for its next phase.

The opportunity

Reporting to the CEO, you'll take ownership of the entire business unit.

This is a broad commercial leadership role where you'll bring together sales, delivery, and customer success to ensure the business continues to grow while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

You'll build the sales team, represent the business with customers and industry partners, oversee delivery, and ensure every part of the customer journey works seamlessly from initial enquiry through to implementation and ongoing support.
  
You'll also:
  • Lead the commercial growth of the business unit.
  • Build and develop a high-performing team.
  • Create strong communication and collaboration across sales, engineering, production and customer support.
  • Ensure customer feedback continually informs product development and future opportunities.
  • Strengthen systems, processes and operational performance as the business scales.
  • Represent the business with credibility across customers, partners and the wider industry.
  • Contribute to international growth opportunities as the business expands.
About you

You're comfortable leading businesses where technology, engineering and commercial delivery all come together.

You understand that growth isn't just about winning new customers. It's about building the capability, systems and communication that allow a business to scale successfully.

You'll likely bring experience from businesses involving hardware, industrial technology, engineering, manufacturing, automation or complex B2B solutions.

You'll also bring:
  • Experience leading a business unit, division or significant functional area.
  • Strong commercial and sales leadership capability.
  • The ability to lead technical teams without needing to be the technical expert.
  • Experience managing complex customer relationships and long sales cycles.
  • A collaborative leadership style that breaks down silos and brings people together.
  • Confidence engaging with senior customers, partners and stakeholders.
  • A genuine desire to build something for the long term.
