Sprout People partners with founders, CEOs and leadership teams of startups, scaleups and ambitious mid-market businesses to help them break through their next stage of growth. We do this by hiring the right people at the right time, developing leaders, and designing organisations that scale.

We are now looking for a Senior Recruitment Partner to join our Auckland team. This role will suit an experienced recruiter who enjoys winning new work, building long-term client relationships, and delivering high-quality recruitment for growth businesses.

This is not a high-volume, transactional agency role. It is a growth-focused recruitment and business development role, where you operate as a trusted advisor to founders and senior leaders.

The role

This role focuses on new business development, client growth, and senior recruitment delivery.

You will:
  • Build and grow your own portfolio of startup, scaleup and mid-market clients
  • Win new recruitment opportunities through relationships, networks, referrals and market presence
  • Lead end-to-end recruitment assignments, particularly senior, commercial and go-to-market roles
  • Partner closely with founders, CEOs and leadership teams as a trusted recruitment advisor
  • Deliver recruitment work to a consistently high standard, with an excellent candidate and client experience
  • Identify and support opportunities to introduce Sprout's wider services across organisational design, leadership coaching and people strategy
Over time, you will gain exposure to — and capability in — Sprout's broader advisory and consulting offerings, creating a genuinely differentiated recruitment career.

This role is Auckland-based and reports directly to the Founder & Managing Director.

About you

We are open on background, but you will likely bring:
  • Proven experience as a Senior Recruitment Consultant, Recruitment Partner or Agency Recruiter
  • A track record of winning and managing client relationships
  • Confidence working with senior stakeholders, including founders, CEOs and leadership teams
  • Strong commercial acumen and comfort owning revenue and client growth targets
  • High standards across recruitment delivery, candidate care and client outcomes
Experience recruiting sales, go-to-market or commercial roles for growth companies is highly desirable, but mindset matters more than sector.
