Local Service and Sales Coordinator - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract
Coordinate projects, sales support, service and customer delivery for a global manufacturing business in this hands-on 12-month maternity cover role!
- Auckland
- 12-month fixed-term maternity contract, based on-site in Penrose
- Own projects from sale through to delivery, installation and invoicing
- Coordinate customers, technicians, suppliers and internal teams
The company
Atrax Group NZ Ltd is the world leader in the design, manufacture, integration and support of a full range of industrial weighing, dimensioning and related control systems for the Airport and Logistics industries. Over 800 airport sites across more than 180 countries and territories use Atrax products and systems every day.
We're looking for a highly organised Local Service and Sales Coordinator to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, covering maternity leave. This is an on-site role based at our head office in Penrose, starting in October.
The opportunity
You'll be the glue that holds our operations together once a sale is made - coordinating between sales, engineering, production, service technicians, customers, purchasing and finance to keep projects and service work moving from sale through to delivery, installation, certification and invoicing.
No two days will look the same. One minute you could be scheduling a technician call-out, the next you're chasing a certification booking, coding an invoice, or working out how to get a truck organised for a site delivery. If you enjoy variety and thrive when things get busy, this role is for you.
While this position is a maternity fixed-term cover, it's a genuine opportunity to take ownership of a broad, evolving coordination role at the centre of our business.
Your duties will span:
- Taking ownership of projects once a sale is completed, coordinating production, transport, installation, technicians and subcontractors through to delivery
- Coordinating customer service requests and scheduling technician call-outs
- Managing customer communication, including timing, site readiness and expectations
- Raising and processing invoices and applying correct job/cost coding
- Coordinating testing and certification bookings
- Preparing project-specific safety plans
- Organising transport, freight and dispatch of hardware and equipment
- Taking minutes at weekly production/project meetings and following up on actions
- Juggling multiple priorities across departments and knowing what needs to happen first
About you
You're someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift quickly and where strong organisation, communication and follow-through make a real difference.
You understand that great operations are built through strong relationships, attention to detail and the ability to keep people aligned. You’re comfortable working across customers, suppliers and internal teams, asking the right questions, challenging assumptions and helping ensure expectations are realistic and achievable.
You’ll likely bring experience from manufacturing, engineering, industrial equipment, field service, logistics or a similar operational environment.
You'll also bring:
- A collaborative approach and the ability to build strong working relationships across a business.
- Confidence managing multiple priorities and context-switching in a fast-moving environment.
- Strong attention to detail, organisation and ownership of tasks from start to finish.
- Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to work with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Experience with invoicing, job costing and/or ERP systems is highly advantageous.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Outlook, Word and Excel.
- The confidence to ask questions, challenge unrealistic timelines and professionally manage expectations.
- A practical, hands-on mindset and willingness to learn, adapt and contribute wherever needed.
This is a great fixed-term opportunity to join a global manufacturing leader.
The role offers real variety, giving you exposure across sales, engineering, production, service and finance, while allowing you to take ownership of projects from initial sale through to successful completion.
You’ll be joining a supportive team with a structured handover period to set you up for success, while stepping into a role that is central to how the business operates and delivers value to customers.
If you enjoy being involved across the full lifecycle of projects, working with different teams and making a tangible impact in a global business, we’d love to hear from you!
